Yesterday, as I was already driving to a meeting, I thought I would test out the Voice Memo feature of my iPhone by recording something on it. The result is a 20-minute talk on adopting agile software methodologies (particularly open communication, small teams, iteration, and a focus on shipping product) in an effort to become a more social business. Why bother? Because no amount of cool/awesome social bookmarking tools, wikis, blogging platforms, or social networks will make your corporate teams more collaborative or cooperative if they don't already have a culture that's based on those values. You have to change how your teams operate and the environment it operates in if you're going to make any lasting impression. I'm open to a discussion on these points, of course -- please let me know your thoughts in the comments.
